FAQs

  • You can access a Medicare rebate for psychological services by getting a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP. Having a MHCP means you can access 10 Medicare rebates per calendar year. Please bring your MHCP to your first session.

  • Some private health Insurers reimburse for psychological services. Please refer to your health insurer for details.

Synergy 888 does not process these rebates, however, will provide invoices for you to claim from your private health insurance.

When less than 24 hours’ notice is given for a cancellation, 100% of the session fee will be charged. This is because the time has been reserved for you and it is a loss in multiple ways; a loss to another client who urgently wanted to see a psychologist, a loss to the psychologist who has spent time preparing for the session, and a loss to a client delaying therapeutic progress.

  • Once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with an intake and consent form.

You will receive 2 reminders by email and SMS, 48 hrs & 24 hrs before your appointment.
